Employee Cleanup Day
A focused volunteer event for employees, teams, and leadership groups that want a hands-on environmental service day.
Corporate community outreach cleanups
Headquartered in Alameda, California, Recycle4BeachCleanUps helps companies host positive, branded cleanup events through Sunrise Beach Crew, our volunteer-facing campaign built for morning cleanups, employee pride, community outreach, and measurable waterway impact.
Volunteer campaign
A volunteer campaign by Recycle4BeachCleanUps.
Sunrise Beach Crew is the public-facing cleanup campaign by Recycle4BeachCleanUps, designed to make morning beach cleanups feel positive, social, memorable, and easy for partner employees to join.
Most cleanup events happen in the morning, when the beach is calm, the day feels fresh, and volunteers can begin with a shared act of service. Sunrise Beach Crew gives that moment a name people can remember, share, and feel proud to be part of.
For partners, the campaign can support employee volunteer days, social media moments, shirts, recognition posts, family participation, youth education, and communication-ready impact recaps.
Corporate partner packages

A public-facing cleanup supported by your company, with partner recognition and a positive local impact story.
A family, school, or youth-friendly format that pairs cleanup action with hopeful microplastics and waterway education.
A recurring program for companies that want consistent cleanup events, impact summaries, and a long-term waterway stewardship story.
For business partners
Many businesses want authentic ways to serve their communities, engage employees, and demonstrate environmental responsibility. Recycle4BeachCleanUps gives corporate outreach, HR, ESG, and brand teams a turnkey cleanup event model that is positive, visible, and easy to communicate.
The partner relationship can live under Recycle4BeachCleanUps, while the volunteer experience can show up as Sunrise Beach Crew. That gives companies a credible operating partner and gives employees a campaign name that feels more human, social, and event-ready.
We begin with the relationship: helping your team host a strong beach, river, or waterway cleanup. If the partnership grows, we can later explore whether eligible recyclable material streams can help support future events.
We also hold a State of California collector license with CalRecycle, which supports our ability to handle eligible CRV materials and work toward maximizing redemption value when that becomes part of the program.
How it works
We learn what your community outreach, employee engagement, ESG, or brand team wants the cleanup to accomplish.
We coordinate beach, river, and waterway cleanup locations, volunteer plans, supplies, safety details, timing, and partner recognition.
Your company receives a professionally organized event that can include employees, customers, vendors, families, or community volunteers.
After the cleanup, we provide photos, participation details, collected material information where available, and a concise recap for your communication channels.

Founder story
Recycle4BeachCleanUps was founded by Jacob "Jake" Cherry, a recycling industry veteran who has owned and operated innovative corporate recycling businesses throughout his career.
The concept took shape while Jake was living on Koh Phangan in southern Thailand, where daily beach cleanups became a way to protect the ocean and create a cleaner space for the local community and visitors.

Small plastic pieces can break down from bottles, bags, packaging, synthetic fibers, fishing gear, and other plastic products. Nanoplastics are even smaller and harder to see, measure, and remove.
Microplastics learning pagePlastic pollution can move through beaches, rivers, storm drains, wildlife habitats, and food webs. Cleanups help remove larger debris before more of it fragments into smaller pieces.
Kids and classroom activitiesResearchers are studying how people may be exposed through food, water, and air. The science is still developing, so we explain the concern honestly and focus on practical prevention.
